.................. MY NAME IS VAL PARRY
Love to design and make jewellery as well as many other craft items.
have always been a little creative but my love of Line dancing has
given me the chance to develop my creativity.
I have a captive audience and a ready made outlet for all things
fancy and blingey (IS THAT A WORD.... it is now)
side my jewellery I also design t-shirt motifs either in glitsy
vinyl or bold shiny crystals.
vinyl designs are quite a recent addition to my crafting when a
few months back I purchased a cutting machine.
Not only now can I draw designs on the computer for crystal decorations
on T-shirts, I can now
cut out and stick on or iron on gorgeous flowers and butterflies
to many different materials.
In my home, if it is bare, it gets decorated.
I have decorated my computers, my cutting machine and printers,
my clock, my mirror to name just a few things
(Oh and have you seen my cars?? - check out my album).
gifts are always in demand. They just mean so much more to the person
am always looking for new ideas and challenges so if you have something
in mind just give me a call
was born in Bath but moved to South Wales in 1972 with my husband
& 3 sons.
I now have 6 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren
have always had some sort of crafting on the go.
When my children were small I took in knitting orders and also had
my own designs on sale in a boutique
in Bath where I lived originally.
Working from home was a must for me at the time so that I could
be there for the children
and also my husband owned a taxi business and I used to work the
two way radio
and take the phone calls in between the knitting, sewing and crochet
I moved to South Wales in 1972 my crafting took a back seat for
many years. I took a job for a few years, did some evening classes
and eventually went into full time education and did a degree in
after which time I started my own computer company.
in an office makes you really unfit so realising this was my push
into dancing and then finally
increasing the dance classes and cutting the hours in the office
seemed the perfect solution and so
finally 5 years ago
I retired from full time office work to give me more time to dance
and then I found I had so much more energy
to spend time on other things I enjoy doing
So here I am today, retired, and working longer hours than I ever
did when I had the computer business
but nothing feels like work. I dance and I create.... Life is full
of fun and enjoyment and I am still earning a living
and meeting and making friends on the dance floor which means I
am in touch with many of my craft customers too.
